SportsAccord Conference & Exhibition

IKONIX were engaged by Sunshine Cost Council to produce a VR solution for their exhibitor stand at SportAccord.

The Vision

Our client wanted to give delegates a feeling of what it was like to ride through some of Sunshine Coasts famous beach and forest cycle tracks.

The Process

In partnership with our client, we organised a filming day with a group of cyclists in a number or locations. We fitted one of the cyclists with a 360 camera and filmed them ride from the point of view of the cyclist. We then edited this content and set it up ready for the VR experience.

Our clients stand consisted of two exercise bikes with Oculus Rift headset VR systems. IKONIX designed a simple user interface allowing the user to select a track and experience the ride though these locations. This proved to be a very effective and popular experience to promote Sunshine Coast bike riding.
