Queensland Training Awards 2019
IKONIX have been producing the Queensland Training Awards for a number of years and have developed some outstanding stage designs. The 2019 awards took this up a notch with custom curved screen, LED strip stage set and immersive content wowing audiences.
The Vision
We wanted to create an immersive experience with a large curved screen and depth perspective content integrating the award nominee’s and winners.
We would create a stage set photo backdrop that would tie in with the content for the main screen.

The Process
IKONIX started the process by brainstorming a look for the content and how we were going to display the multiple nominee and award recipient slides.
Once this was settled our content and design team got to work producing an opening video and template for the awards using Notch. Our awards template was designed so we could replicate a similar look on stage with LED Roe strips taking inspiration from a pile of pickup sticks.
Our production team got to work designing the lighting, stage and led set while our content team continued to refine the design and integration of the award packages.
A key factor we now employ as standard for awards shows was using Notch referencing a csv file for all award nominee, winner names and images. This allowed us to make changes on the fly without the need to re render any content to screen. The flexibly, speed and quality of this workflow we believe is second to none.
