2018 Presentation Awards Gala
IKONIX have been working with Broncos for a number of years and for the 2018 presentation awards gala, wanted to get creative with a standout on-brand room feature.
The Vision
The Bronco’s reached out to us to design an eye catching stage backdrop for their 2018 Presentation Ball. Having worked with them in previous years, we were keen to make sure we did something a bit different.

The Process
With the brief to create a visually engaging backdrop, the production team sketched up ideas and concepts with the idea to utilise LED Roe Strips. A pyramid style design with embedded diamond shapes, was decided upon as it brought an interesting visual element to the stage.
Using box truss, our designer caded up a frame that would fit within the stage and ceiling height. We then marked out positions for the LED strips and how these could be configured for the best look. As the design evolved, our lighting designer added the final touches with beams installed from the truss frame in each of the designs diamond shaped sections that could be programmed in time with the LED strips for ballyhoo’s and band performance.
This eye-catching LED design proved to be a success as a standout in photos, an interesting and evolving stage backdrop and a talking point in room on the night. This design proved a challenging build but resulted in a visually striking and unique backdrop that that met the clients needs.
